Jessica Zofchak

Lecturer

Jessica is an Environmental Designer and co-leader of the Daylight Practice at Atelier Ten, an international team of environmental design consultants and lighting designers focused on delivering sustainability to the planned and built environment through team collaboration, based in New York, NY.

Jessica's expertise is in the analysis and optimization of residential, institutional, commercial, and laboratory buildings and façade systems for daylighting, visual and thermal comfort, and energy performance. Her current work includes consulting for the Office of the Future competition with Pickard Chilton Architects, a high-profile commercial laboratory campus in Cambridge, MA, the Theater for a New Audience in Brooklyn, NY, the Royal Ratchdamri high-rise residential tower in Bangkok, Thailand, and an adaptive reuse building at Princeton University.

During the Spring 2012 semester, Jessica was an assistant lecturer alongside Naree Phinyawatana for the Daylighting course at The University of Pennsylvania. She has previously conducted sustainability charrettes and daylighting workshops at various architecture firms.

She holds a Bachelors of Science in Art and Design from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Building Technology program and a Masters of Engineering in High Performance Structures from MIT's Civil Engineering department. She also holds a Bachelors of Science in Marketing Science from MIT's Sloan School of Management.
