Located in Des Moines, an area with four distinct seasons, which is not particularly hot in summer and a little cold in winter. As a data center, the cooling strategy of the building throughout the year is particularly critical. We are committed to maximizing the advantages of climate properties helping to achieve the passively cooling of the buildings, that focuses on heat gain control and heat dissipation in a building to improve the indoor thermal comfort with low energy consumption. Maximize the use of natural ventilation and optimize the shading system. At the same time, we also considered how to reuse the heat generated by the servers. Utilize the stack effect of the cores to guide the heat generated by the servers to be transferred to the upper office and green house areas, to reduce the heating load inside the building in winter. The operable façade system is well designed according to the site solar and wind analysis so that the building could perform better in the whole year. The structural pattern of irregular polygons is the overall structure of the building. Except for the core, there is no need for additional columns inside the main body of the building.
