We took references from vernacular desert architecture and used them as a baseline to iterate our form-finding module - maximizing internal volume and minimizing exposed area to solar radiation, while exploiting night cooling potential from earthen materials. The mass form is derived from optimized aggregation incorporating thermal mass, evaporative cooling potential, and data server on a floor-less, porous organic form. The conventionality is broken down to design “data trees” which maximize stack effect potential within the volume. A well-integrated analysis addresses the aesthetic qualities of the space within and without. While intricately weaving the geometry and systems creating a design language dominated by its materiality of adobe and glass blocks. In our proposal, the envelope seeks to coalesce space, material and form with bioclimatic considerations.
