Window Mindmap

Design for global wellness, intersection of climate, wellness and inclusivity, design for a pandemic - air freshness/air circulation.

Connection with the outside that does not hinder one's productivity and peace of mind. Concerned about the environment and hence wants to reduce embodied carbon and operational energy.

The user profile is a middle-aged couple who are deeply concerned about the health of their family and themselves. They worry about the impacts of the lack of natural ventilation and interaction, especially during a pandemic. With the current work from home lifestyle and being the primary caregivers for their ailing and bedridden parents, there is an eternal need for an escape from their stressful and monotonous lifestyle. The occupants desire a connection with the outside while being comfortable, productive and in sync with the surroundings even when engrossed in work or ill. Concerned about the environment, they want to reduce their total energy loads through passive design.
